Embedding researchers into organisations

12 July 2022

Research from the School of Management was one of the most downloaded articles published in 2021 in the journal Evidence & Policy.

Embedding researchers into organisations: a study of the features of embedded research initiatives, was written by Dr Vicky Ward, Dr Tricia Tooman, Dr Benet Reid and Emeritus Professor Huw Davies, all from the School, and Professor Martin Marshall from University College London. It explores the nature and organisation of embedded research initiatives in health settings in the UK, and suggests themes that can be used as a framework for guiding further systematic and evaluative enquiry.

The article has been included in the most read collection at Bristol University Press and Policy Press, as announced in June 2022.

The work was supported by a grant from the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Health Services & Delivery Research (HS&DR) programme.
