Summer graduations 2022
The School of Management congratulates all those whose academic awards are being conferred at summer 2022 graduation ceremonies, with very special greetings to students of the School who will be new alumni.
Graduation ceremonies will be live streamed at University of St Andrews' Watch graduation live.
School festivities this year include a breakfast for the current graduating cohort, guests and staff. See photos of the event on Facebook.
Special congratulations are extended to Dr Siobhan Dumbreck, graduating after completion of her thesis on competent professional practice.
The School is also delighted to highlight the achievements of staff member Samantha Letham (MA 2021) who was awarded the Fife Provost's Prize on completion of her studies in 2021 and will join more than 5000 students from across the world receiving their degrees at the University's first in-person summer ceremonies since 2019.
Two professors from the School gave graduation addresses during ceremonies held across three weeks. Professor Brad MacKay, Senior Vice-Principal and Vice-Principal (International Strategy and External Relations), said:
Today is your day to celebrate what is a tremendous achievement. It is the culmination of all your lectures, labs, seminars, tutorials, reports, experiments, papers, presentations, and exams. And not only have you succeeded, you have done so in the midst of a global pandemic, which has been one of the most challenging and disruptive periods in recent memory. But this only makes your accomplishments that much more impressive.
Concluding his address, Professor Paul Hibbert, Assistant Vice-Principal (Dean of Arts and Divinity), said:
I wish you every success in making meaning in the way that works best for you, whether in art, education, industry or public service. As you do so, I hope you continue to make friendships that bring inspiration and laughter and share with someone what it means to love and be loved. You deserve nothing less and I wish you all the best of luck.
