Book a space in the Main Library
Reserve study and meeting spaces for group work, activities, and community events. All bookings are free of charge.
What we will do:
We will provide student access to book a group study room on level 2 of the Main Library.
We will provide staff and student access to Meeting Room C for events open to all University community members.
How this will be delivered:
- We will manage group study room bookings via Resource Booker up to one week in advance.
- We will manage bookings for Meeting Room C via emails to library@st-andrews.ac.uk up to one week in advance.
- We will respond to requests via email within 24 hours (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays).
- We will ensure high-quality, well-equipped spaces with appropriate furniture and technology (including screens, whiteboards, and power outlets).
- We will prepare Meeting Room C as per the user’s request, including layout configuration.
- We will provide assistance at the Help Desk if a user encounters issues with room access or occupancy.
- We will cancel any bookings left unattended for 15 minutes to ensure fair access for all users.
Important user information:
- Bookings should not be made for others.
- Users are responsible for ordering catering if needed (Meeting Room C only).
- Users should arrive and depart on time to respect the schedules of others.
- Users should leave the room tidy and clean for the next user.
- Users should cancel their booking if no longer needed to allow fair access to others.
- Users should remove all personal belongings. Any items left behind will be handled as lost property and disposed of if not claimed.
- Users should be courteous to library staff and fellow users.
