The Guardian University Guide 2019

The recently published Guardian University Guide 2019 ranked the School of International Relations the top international relations department in Scotland and first in Politics in the UK. This ranking, on top of our outstanding results in the National Student Survey and the Times Good University Guide 2018, reinforces the excellence of our teaching, research, and impact across a range of global and regional areas of study.

As the School continues to grow both in staff and student numbers, we are keen to continue with this standard of excellence. We look forward to seeing more students from around the world, and we intend to continue to produce ground breaking research that will shape the theoretical agendas of our field and the empirical knowledge about the current events that the world so desperately needs right now.
