Dr Roxani Krystalli wins American Political Science Association Book Award

Dr Roxani Krystalli, Senior Lecturer at the School of International Relations, has won the American Political Science Association’s Lee Ann Fujii Book Award for her book Good Victims: The Political As a Feminist Question. The award was established in honour of Lee Ann Fujii, an esteemed professor and writer renowned for her thoughtful work on political violence. This prestigious honour recognises creative, innovative contributions to the study of political violence, especially those that engage with the methods and ethics of working directly with people affected by violence. The prize was judged by an international panel of scholars.

Good Victims was published in 2024 by Oxford University Press. In addition to winning the Lee Ann Fujii Prize, it was shortlisted for the L.H.M. Ling Outstanding First Book Award and the Feminist Theory and Gender Studies Book Prize and was awarded an Honourable Mention for Best Peace Studies Book by a Female Scholar by the International Studies Association. Since the publication of the book, Dr Krystalli has been invited to give talks about it at universities around the world, including Oxford, Georgetown, Marburg, Boston College, the University of Amsterdam, London School of Economics, and others.
