Inaugural Showcase

On Wednesday, 19 November 2025, four new Professors in the School of International Relations delivered a series of inaugural lectures at the Buchanan Lecture Theatre in a public event. Following an introduction by the Master, the following short lectures were delivered to the audience:

• Professor Fiona McCallum Guiney, The Future of Middle Eastern Christians
• Professor Gurchathen Sanghera, The ‘Living Rights’ of Young People and Youth in India and Scotland
• Professor Sanjay Seth, Decolonization and the Normalisation of the Nation-State
• Professor Adham Souli, Socialisation: Tracing Politics over Time

Assistant Vice-Principal Dean of Arts and Divinity Professor Catherine O’Leary provided the Vote of Thanks.
