Enterprise education networks

There are many ways to get involved with enterprise education as a member of staff.

The Employability Working Group

The Employability Working Group, chaired by the Dean of Science, is the steering group for enterprise education in the University. It is made up of colleagues who are involved in furthering the enterprise education initiative within the University.

The group liaises with the Entrepreneurial Education Working Group, the Careers Centre, the Staff Enterprise Network and the Careers Link network to further embed and promote educational initiatives linked to enterprise in both the curriculum and extra-curricular activities in the University.

Contact the Dean of Science for more information about this group, including how to join.

The Entrepreneurial Education Working Group

The Entrepreneurial Education Working Group is convened by the Associate Dean (Education) Arts and Divinity in the Proctor’s Office and has a remit to promote Entrepreneurial Education and an enterprising mindset across the University curriculum.

If you would like to be involved please contact the Associate Dean

Staff Enterprise Network

The network is for colleagues who have developed or would like to develop an enterprising approach in their learning and teaching. These colleagues work together to find ways to encourage their students to cultivate an enterprising mindset.

Please contact the Associate Deans for Education if you are interested in joining the network.

Vertically Integrated Projects

Vertically Integrated Projects (VIPs) are multidisciplinary team projects supervised by academic researchers which offer valuable pathways for students to develop enterprise capabilities and graduate attributes.

Careers Links Network

Each School has a staff member who acts as a Careers Link. They are ambassadors for employability, enterprise and entrepreneurship at the University. Together with student careers class representatives they promote and encourage student participation in enterprise and entrepreneurship learning and development.
