St Andrews Chemistry Members Honoured in 2026 RSC Prizes
Chemists from the University of St Andrews have been honoured in the Royal Society of Chemistry’s (RSC) 2026 Prize Awards. These prestigious awards recognise outstanding achievements and significant contributions that advance the chemical sciences and their impact on society.
Professor Eli Zysman-Colman of the School of Chemistry at the University of St Andrews has been awarded the Royal Society of Chemistry’s (RSC) 2026 Tilden Prize in recognition of his pioneering research on the development of mechanophotocatalysts, and the use of organic thermally activated delayed fluorescence compounds, to drive sustainable photocatalysis.

St Andrews professor honoured with prestigious Royal Society of Chemistry prize
Dr Danica Pinto has been recognised through the 2026 RSC Inspirational Committee Award for her role on the RSC Education Community Region Scotland. Professor Stuart Macgregor, PhD student Daniel Storm and PDRA Dr Arif Sajjad were recognised by the 2026 RSC Dalton Horizon Prize for their roles on Team SMOM and the development of solid-state molecular organometallic chemistry as a new way of controlling, analysing, and using highly reactive transition metal complexes.
