Dr George Kladakis
Lecturer in Finance
Biography
George joined the University of St Andrews Business School as a Lecturer in Finance in April 2024. He previously held a lecturer position at Edinburgh Napier University.
His research focuses on impactful topics in banking, spanning liquidity creation, credit ratings, systemic risk, and the broader institutional and sociopolitical factors that shape the financial sector. George has published his research in respected journals such as the Journal of Banking and Finance, the Journal of International Money and Finance and the Journal of Business Finance and Accounting among others.
George is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). His teaching revolves around banking, investments and statistics.
He holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Sheffield, a Msc in Finance and Investments from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University and a BA in Business Studies (Accounting & Finance) from the University of Sheffield.
