Biography

Saloni Chopra is a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Economics at the University of St Andrews. She received her Ph.D. from the University of California, Davis in 2025. Her work uses empirical microeconomic methods to study economic development, education policy, and labour markets.

Research areas

Saloni's research interests span economic development, education policy, gender equity, and labour economics, broadly focused on how public policies and institutional design shape access, performance, and long-term outcomes in education and labour markets.
