Association for Art History appointment.

26 June 2026

The School of Art History is pleased to announce that Dr Lenia Kouneni has been selected as a member of the Association for Art History's Higher Education Committee (HEC). Lenia joins the HEC with particular interests in curriculum diversification, assessment design and reform, and the implications of generative AI for teaching and learning in art history. A Senior Lecturer in Art History, she is currently on secondment as Associate Dean Education (Arts and Divinity)

The HEC serves a dual function of advising the Association for Art History on matters of concern within the Higher Education sector and supporting advocacy efforts within a broader network across HE. The Association for Art History has always had an important role in advocating for art history within Higher Education. It is building on this legacy with the work of the HEC and the development of a larger network of academics across the United Kingdom whose aims are to promote the subject across institutional and departmental boundaries, and to ensure its continued vitality within the university sector.
