Net-Zero Press: Second Edition.

23 April 2026

NET-ZERO PRESS, an impact project led by Dr Ruth Ezra, Lecturer in Art History, held its second network convening at Edinburgh Printmakers on 24 March. Artists, technicians, educators, and art historians gathered for a stimulating day of practitioner-led workshops. Sharing ideas for how to make the modern print studio more sustainable, Jules Bradbury ran a lesson on using Tetra-Pak as matrix; Aindreas Scholz demonstrated ecological methods for cyanotype; and Joanna Rucklidge encouraged us to try stamping with waste on blue roll. Namhara Byron Low then led a tour of the EP print studio. After a rummage through the studio bins, we experimented with inking up monoprints using what found objects we recovered. The day ended with a provocative discussion, 'NET-ZERO?', led by Rachel Grant, Curator, Peacock & The Worm (P&W), Aberdeen (Learning Studio).
