Venice: il terzo posto V.

14 April 2026

2025 British Council Venice Biennale Fellows Cheyenne Booth and Toby Berryman welcome you to the exhibition opening of Venice: il terzo posto at the School of Art History, 79 North Street. Fresh from their time working in La Serenissima, both Cheyenne and Toby will be displaying their projects in the ground-floor exhibition space (opposite the ASC), and we would love to see you there for this opening drinks reception.

Attending to Venice as a ‘third place’ (terzo posto), beyond home and work, their creative responses consider the role of home and community in a city upon which tens of millions of tourists descend each year.

Please pop along for a chat, to see the work, and to taste some complimentary Venetian wine (non-alcoholic options also available) and nibbles! The opening event is open to all friends, students, and staff.

This exhibition is part of the School of Art History's annual involvement since 2023 in the British Council Venice Fellowship Programme, providing a unique opportunity for students to spend a month in Venice during the world's most important art and architecture biennales. Come and find out more about the programme, which we hope to be able to offer again in the 2026-7 academic year for 3rd year Art History students.
