Nigerian Modernism.

In connection with the new blockbuster exhibition at Tate Modern, Nigerian Modernism, Art History PhD student Samuel Reilly has written an article for Apollo magazine focused on the early Nigerian modernist, Ben Enwonwu. In the Tate exhibition, there is an entire room dedicated to Enwonwu, who enjoyed a long, complex, international career, spanning both the final years of colonial rule and the era of independence.

Nigerian Modernism runs until 10 May 2026.
