When in Rome: Study Trip 2023
Back in May, Professor Laura Moretti, Dr Lenia Kouneni, Dr, Natalia and Dr Elsje van Kessel escorted students to Rome for a very special study trip.
The School of Art History’s study trip is an invaluable educational opportunity for our students, providing them with a chance to enhance their understanding of art previously studied through textbooks and lectures. Our intensive program of staff-led study visits is meticulously designed to reinforce our students’ knowledge and skills, and to encourage dialogue and critical thinking, nurturing a deeper understanding of art history and its relevance in society. Fieldwork is not built into our Art History degree. This study trip serves as an exceptional alternative, allowing third- and fourth-year undergraduate students to complement their classroom learning.
