British Council Venice Fellowship Programme 2024
The School of Art History is delighted to be joining the British Council Venice Fellowship Programme for the first time in 2024, and we are currently recruiting one student Fellow to this exciting opportunity at the 60th Venice Biennale.
The Venice Fellowships Programme is a unique opportunity for creative individuals, students, researchers, artists and professionals at the early stages of their career, to spend a month in Venice during the world’s most important art and architecture biennales.
The Fellow will travel to Venice for one month as part of a larger cohort, where they will act as an Exhibition Ambassador invigilating the British Pavilion. In 2024, the British Pavilion commission will be by the artist and filmmaker John Akomfrah RA. The Fellow will also undertake a Research or Creative Project while in Venice, connected to the Biennale and/or British Pavilion exhibition themes. The Fellow will receive a travel grant of £3,000 to support their time in Venice.
