‘We Are Resilient Together’: An Enhancement Theme Student Art Exhibition
As part of a recent successful Enhancement Theme funding, our students are putting together an art exhibition ‘We Are Resilient Together’ https://www.instagram.com/weartresilient/?hl=en
We invite students across the university to submit contributions in conversation with the theme of resilience. Resilience is a quality of all artists, despondent of time or culture, political landscape, or personal experience, as whilst in the process of creation, artists rise to the challenge of seeing their vision through. Resilience might also apply to personal circumstances, as art inherently reflects the life of the artist.
Within tangible decisions of medium and form, the artist requires an emotive resilience when making personal choices of how they wish to communicate feelings and experiences unshared. The exhibition aims to celebrate the processes of artists, oscillating between the early creativity of initial ideas and preliminary sketches, to the finality of a fully realised piece.
What we need from you:
- A piece of art or displayable written work that engages with the theme of resilience
- A brief description of the piece, and how it ties into the theme of resilience
