What Art History paper have you written that you are most proud of? Why?

My work on presence in F. Holland Day's "Seven Last Words" explored nuanced receptions of the series based on differences in theology between Christian denominations. I'm glad that I am able to offer new insights into a highly discussed work.

Why did you choose to study Art History at St Andrews?

The history of photography program is the best in its class. I wanted to complete my research in the theology of photography, and this program uniquely supports that work.

What is the most interesting/surprising thing you have learned so far in your Art History studies?

How much the presentation format and material of a photograph contribute to our interaction with and understanding of it.
