Postgraduate accommodation fees
Residence fees for most postgraduate accommodation options include:
- utilities (gas and electricity)
- internet access (using your own PC)
- contents insurance from cover4insurance.com (terms and conditions apply)
- hall committee subscriptions, which are non-refundable: £100 in all residences except Angus House and Stanley Smith House, which is £30
The following exceptions apply:
- Utilities, internet and hall subscriptions are not included in The Grange and University managed properties.
- Hall committee subscriptions are not included in Angus and Stanley Smith Houses, Gregory Place and Leuchars Properties.

End of tenancy
Please check your contract to confirm the date you are required to move out. It is not normally possible to change this date, as rooms are required for incoming students.
If for academic reasons, for example, extension to dissertation submission date, you need to extend your stay for a short period, please email accommodation@st-andrews.ac.uk as soon as possible.
We cannot guarantee that accommodation will be available and you may be required to move rooms. Extensions beyond the start of the next academic year are extremely unlikely to be available and you should make alternative arrangements.
