Group of Prof. Nicholas Westwood
The Westwood group is interested in using advanced NMR methods to study reaction mechanisms in organic synthesis as well as for the characterisation of the biopolymer lignin. Extensive 2D HSQC analysis of lignin enables us to track any modifications we can induce using chemical or biocatalytic methods.
