Group of Dr Euan Kay
We are a group of synthetic chemists with interests at the interface of supramolecular chemistry and nanomaterials. We apply NMR methods to study the surface chemistry of colloidal nanomaterials - most commonly monolayer-stabilized gold nanoparticles. This allows us to understand the structure, interactions and reactions of dynamic molecular systems confined to nanoparticle surfaces, allowing us to engineer (supra)molecular control over nanoscale structure and function.
