Your learning experience

This in-person programme offers an exceptional learning experience, combining interactive small-group sessions with your peers in the beautiful, historic setting of St Andrews, home to our world-class University.

Net Zero has become the moral touchstone of many government, corporate, and institutional climate change pledges. These hinge on the understanding that there is an urgent need to reduce overall greenhouse gas emissions while balancing ambitions for economic growth.

You will learn how to design, implement, and evaluate your organisation's Net Zero strategy using the tools and methods of top economic analysts. Drawing on real-world examples and using hands-on training, this intensive course will take you from concept to implementation, allowing you to lead your organisation's Net Zero journey.

Course content

Day one: Understanding and executing Net Zero at scale

The course opens by exploring the conceptual origins of Net Zero, its progression into mainstream policy, and the size of the challenge facing organisations across sectors.

Day two: Implementation, monitoring, and evaluation

The second day focuses on analytically designing, planning, measuring, and evaluating Net Zero interventions. It includes integrating CO2 equivalency data with financial and economic data, scenario design, and sensitivity testing.

Day three: Blended finance solutions and opportunities

The third day turns attention to blended finance solutions, exploring how scenarios from day two might be capitalised. The day concludes with groups presenting their case study projects.
