Unibuddy

To keep things safe and respectful, we have a clear code of conduct for anyone joining our Unibuddy community spaces to help ensure everyone uses the platform in a positive, responsible way.

Code of conduct

1. Be kind and respectful

Maintain a welcoming environment. Personal attacks, rudeness, and degrading comments are strictly prohibited.

2. No hate or harassment

Bullying, inflammatory remarks, or discriminatory language regarding race, religion, gender, or orientation are not tolerated.

3. Protect privacy

Do not share personal information or sensitive details, including social media handles, phone numbers, addresses, login details or passwords in public groups.

4. No spam or promotion

Self-promotion, spamming, and irrelevant links are prohibited.

5. Keep conversations safe

If a user suggests moving a conversation off Unibuddy, it is recommended to politely decline and keep chats within the moderated platform.

Safety and compliance

Consequences

Failure to follow these rules may result in being blocked or banned from Communities.

Reporting

Users are encouraged to report any inappropriate or concerning behaviour to the University’s administrator on the Unibuddy platform.

Platform safety

The Community platform includes automated moderation, content flagging, and administrative oversight to ensure a safe experience.
