Conference Itinerary
This itinerary is subject to change. All times are local time.
Wednesday 25 February
- 1pm (local time) Shuttle bus departure from Edinburgh Motel One Royal to St Andrews
- Arrival in St Andrews Check-in to the Rusacks Hotel from 3pm onwards
- 6pm to 7.15pm The Glenturret Whisky tasting event in St Katherine's West
Thursday 26 February
- 8.30am Meet in the Rusacks Lobby, walk to Parliament Hall, South Street
- 9am Arrive at Parliament Hall
- 9.15am Welcome by the Principal, Professor Dame Sally Mapstone FRSE
- 9.45am Admissions presentation and updates
- 10.45am Tea break
- 11am Careers information session
- 11.30am Student Services information session
- 12pm Lunch break
- 1.30pm Student-led tour of St Andrews, leaving from Parliament Hall
- 3.15pm Arrival at North Haugh and group photo
- 3.30pm School of Mathematics and Statistics presentation
- 4pm School of Physics and Astronomy presentation
- 4.30pm School of Computer Science presentation
- 5pm Walk to the St Andrews Students' Association Beacon Bar
- 5.20pm Arrive at the Beacon Bar
- 5.20pm to 7pm Drinks reception at the Beacon Bar, including a speech from Professor Gareth Miles, Assistant Vice-Principal Dean of Science
After 7pm attendees will be responsible for dinner on their own and are welcome to arrange to meet with their own students at St Andrews.
Friday 27 February
- 8.45am Meet in the Rusacks Lobby, walk to Parliament Hall
- 9.10am School of Chemistry presentation
- 9.45am School of Earth and Environmental Sciences presentation
- 10.20am Tea break
- 11am School of English presentation and (concurrently) School of Medicine and Medical Admissions presentation
- 11.30am Department of Philosophy presentation
- 12pm Lunch break
- 2pm Student panel discussion
- 2.45pm Q&A with Admissions staff and Associate Deans of Faculty
- 3.30pm Free time
- 6.30pm Depart from Rusacks lobby for dinner
- 6.40pm Dinner at Lower College Hall
Saturday 28 February
Departure from St Andrews. Guests will be transported back to the airport or the train station as requested.
Colleagues check-out time is 10am.
