Collaborations and study abroad team

The Collaborations and Study Abroad team encourages and empowers students by providing a supportive and informative service as they navigate a range of academic transitions.

Collaborations and Study Abroad is part of the Registry unit. The team provides central administration for University exchange and study abroad programmes, and programmes delivered collaboratively with other institutions, both in the UK and overseas. 

The team's remit also includes management of the University's Erasmus+ Extended University Charter, which enables the University to enter into Erasmus+ agreements and operate Erasmus+ student and staff mobility.

Assistant Registrar (Academic Partnerships and International Experience)

Samantha Lister

The Assistant Registrar provides leadership to the Academic Partnerships function, ensuring a co-ordinated institutional approach to the development, quality and delivery of a range of partnership activities and the associated student experience.

A graduate of St Andrews, Sam studied German and International Relations, and completed a Masters in Cultural Identity Studies. She has worked in various roles since joining the University in 2005 and is also the Warden of St Salvator’s Hall. Sam meets regularly with partners in the UK and overseas.

Samantha Lister

Collaborations Officer

Christian Harding

The Collaborations Officer is responsible for the negotiation, delivery and renewal of partnership Agreements for collaborative programmes, for due diligence reports on new and potential partners, and for management of the University’s Erasmus+ programme.

Christian graduated from St Andrews with a PhD in Mediaeval History in 2010 and after working in Glasgow and Limoges, returned to the University in 2013 working in the Library and Registry before becoming Collaborations Officer in March 2017.

Student Mobility Officer

Bronagh Masterson

The Student Mobility Officer is responsible for enhancing the service provided to partners, applicants and students, for managing the student experience across inbound and outbound cohorts, and for supporting collaborative programmes such as the BA (International Honours).

An Italian graduate of St Andrews, Bronagh has worked at the University since 2015 and enjoys supporting students through their study abroad experience.

CSA Senior Administrator

Morag Mayes

This post is responsible for the co-ordination of operational activities in support of collaborative programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including the provision of partner and programme information, the on-going support of students, and partner liaison.

Morag has worked in various roles at the University since 2007 and enjoys the interaction with students, staff and partner institutions, whether already established or in development.

Partnerships Officer

Scott Gregory

The Partnerships Officer is responsible for co-ordinating the development of new collaborative projects, managing partner relationships and communications, and managing the operation of existing collaborative
provision at postgraduate taught level.

Scott graduated from St Andrews in 2007 with a PhD in Astrophysics, and held research positions at the University of Exeter and the California Institute of Technology, before returning to St Andrews in 2012. He joined the team in 2018 as Partnerships Officer.

CSA Senior Administrator

Cecily Davey

The CSA Senior Administrator is responsible for supporting inbound and outbound students through the study abroad journey, liaising with our international partner institutions to manage and enable student mobility.

An English Literature graduate of St Andrews, Cecily spent a year studying abroad in Italy as part of her undergraduate degree. She worked as a Tutor and Student Mentor in the School of English during her postgraduate studies, and has also gained experience as a Senior Editorial Assistant in the academic publishing industry. Cecily now enjoys helping to organise and promote the University's many study abroad opportunities.
