The newly established Global Office is responsible for managing strategic, multi-dimensional partnerships; providing co-ordinated support for key Global activities which are cross-institution and which enhance student experience, academic reputation and research connectivity internationally; and supporting the alignment of Global services to ensure a consistent approach and a seamless service for academics, students and external stakeholders.
The Global Office manages a wide range of Study Abroad, collaborative programmes, and Global Joint PhDs, and the associated student experience. The Global Office also manages the business of the University’s International Committee and takes forward projects and initiatives identified by the Committee in support of the Internationalisation Strategy.
The Office works closely with other Units under the Global banner (Admissions, Careers, Corporate Communications, Development and the International Education Institute), as well as the Principal’s Office, Schools, Registry, and Research and Innovation Services.
Director of the Global Office
The Director provides leadership to the newly established Global Office, ensuring a co-ordinated institutional approach to the development, quality and delivery of a range of partnership activities and the associated student experience. A graduate of St Andrews, Sam studied German and International Relations, and completed a Masters in Cultural Identity Studies. Since joining the University in 2005, she has worked in various roles in Admissions and Registry, as well as serving as Warden of St Salvator's Hall for four years.

The Collaborations Officer is responsible for the negotiation, delivery and renewal of partnership Agreements for collaborative programmes, for due diligence reports on new and potential partners, and for management of the University’s Erasmus+ programme. Christian graduated from St Andrews with a PhD in Mediaeval History in 2010 and after working in academic positions in Glasgow and Limoges, returned to the University in 2013 working in the Library and Registry before becoming Collaborations Officer for the Global Office in March 2017.

Student Mobility Officer
The Student Mobility Officer is responsible for enhancing the service provided to partners, applicants and students, for managing the student experience across inbound and outbound cohorts, and for supporting collaborative programmes such as the BA (International Honours). Munwar holds a BA (Hons) and MBA with experience of working with students and partners across a range of universities. He enjoys supporting students through their study abroad experience.
Student Mobility Officer
Bronagh Masterson (currently on maternity leave)
The Student Mobility Officer is responsible for enhancing the service provided to partners, applicants and students, for managing the student experience across inbound and outbound cohorts, and for supporting collaborative programmes such as the BA (International Honours). An Italian graduate of St Andrews, Bronagh has worked at the University since 2015 and enjoys supporting students through their study abroad experience.
Global Senior Administrator
This post is responsible for the co-ordination of operational activities in support of collaborative programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including the provision of partner and programme information, the on-going support of students, and partner liaison. Morag has worked in various roles at the University since 2007 and enjoys the interaction with students, staff and partner institutions, whether already established or in development.

Global Senior Administrator
The Global Senior Administrator is responsible for supporting inbound and outbound students through the study abroad journey, liaising with our international partner institutions to manage and enable student mobility. An English Literature graduate of St Andrews, Cecily spent a year studying abroad in Italy as part of her undergraduate degree. She worked as a Tutor and Student Mentor in the School of English during her postgraduate studies, and has also gained experience as a Senior Editorial Assistant in the academic publishing industry.
The European Coordinator works across the team to work closely with our European partners, co-ordinate projects and support student and staff mobility. Joseph advised students and taught Italian at Durham University, graduating with a PhD in 2016. After working for Leicestershire Adult Learning and Libraries, Joseph joined the Global Office as European Coordinator in 2018. He enjoys practising languages and building relationships with our European partners.

The Global Administrator provides administrative support for all Global activities and supports the Senior Administrators. The role includes managing the student documentation from outset to completion for Study Abroad students as well as offering support to students during consultation hours. A German Language and Literature graduate of the University of Glasgow, Lindsay spent a year working abroad in Regensburg, Germany as an English Language Teaching Assistant with the British Council. Lindsay very much enjoys interacting with the students

Global Senior Administrator (Erasmus+)
The Global Senior Administrator is responsible for supporting inbound and outbound Erasmus+ exchanges and liaising with our international partner institutions to manage and enable student and staff mobility. Andrzej spent a year studying abroad in Russia as part of his undergraduate degree at St Andrews. He is in the final stages of his PhD in Philosophy and is also an Assistant Warden at St Salvator's Hall.
