The University offers a range of exchange and Study Abroad programmes.

The University carefully selects and monitors each programme. Staff work closely with overseas partners to help students have a successful period abroad and a smooth return to St Andrews.

Saints Abroad

Study abroad for one semester or a full academic year at one of the University’s partner institutions.
Work abroad

Students on specific degree programmes in Biology, Chemistry and Modern Languages may apply to undertake a work placement abroad as an integral part of their degree programme.
Short-term opportunities

Explore short-term opportunities at our partner universities. Students do not gain academic credit from participating in these programmes.
