School away day 2020

Academic and professional staff recently spent a day away from the School in order to discuss the School's long-term strategy plans. The day was broken into four main sections.

• Teaching
• Professional staff
• Research
• Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Staff were given topics to discuss in a round table setting and then encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas with the larger group.  This focused debate and led to a productive day with many ideas being noted for further analysis and discussion.

Staff were also asked to present a 1 minute presentation on something they are currently working on that they are passionate about.  This could be related to research, education or something else entirely.  The talks were interspersed throughout the day and were entertaining and informative.  They showcased the breadth and depth of research being carried out within the School and sparked further conversation among staff.
