Visit to Portland, Oregon

Seán Allan co-convened a series of panels on ‘Documenting socialism: East German perspectives on documentary film’ at the annual meeting of the German Studies Association in Portland, Oregon, and delivered a paper on ‘Peter Voigt. Socialist documentary and the legacy of Brecht’. He also acted as a commentator on the panel ‘Heirnich von Kleist. Literary and aesthteic legacies’.
