Leverhulme International Fellowship for Elise Hugueny-Léger
Dr Elise Hugueny-Léger has been awarded a Leverhulme International Fellowship for a project entitled ‘Beyond the writing impulse: crafting creative writing research in French’. The ten-month fellowship will allow her to work with colleagues at Cergy-Paris Université in 2022-23 as associate researcher with the ‘Héritages: Culture/s, Patrimoine/s, Création/s’ research unit and the ECF/ Écritures créatives en formation research group. By establishing a collaborative, practice-based approach which envisages art as experience, this project will enhance research into multilingual literary creation and reassess the research process underlying creative writing. The fellowship will allow the further development of skills in leading writing workshops and involvement in innovative teaching practices. It will facilitate the creation of fresh critical approaches, pedagogical tools and training resources, moving forward the stimulating field of creative writing research in French Studies and in Modern Languages.
