DAAD funding to support German Screen Studies Network

Together with Dr Paul Flaig from Film Studies, Dr Dora Osborne has been awarded €59,600 from the DAAD to support the work of the German Screen Studies Network. The award comes from the DAAD’s Promoting German Studies competition and will facilitate a number of workshops and conferences as well as knowledge exchange initiatives. Founded in 2013 by Professor Erica Carter and Dr Martin Brady, the GSSN provides an important forum for exploring German-language film and film history. This grant provides an important opportunity to expand the network’s reach and impact following its move to St Andrews earlier this year.
