The Nisbet Prize

Three awards that are awarded to the best student in Management in First Year, Second Year and Honours.

The Undergraduate Head of School Prize

is awarded to an undergraduate student in the School of Management who has contributed to the School and in particular to its outreach activities.

The Andrew Culbert Memorial Prize

is awarded to the most deserving Third Year Arts Student.

The Postgraduate Head of School Prize

is awarded to a postgraduate student in the School of Management who has contributed to the School and in particular to its outreach activities.

The Macallan Marketing Prize

is awarded at the discretion of the Examination Board to the student from the MLitt Marketing (PGT) programme who achieves the highest weighted average of all modules including the dissertation.

The Peter Grinyer MLitt in Management Prize

is awarded annually at the discretion of the Examination Board to the MLitt in Management (PGT) student with the highest overall credit-weighted average (GPA), including both the taught element of the MLitt Management programme and the dissertation.

The CIPD Human Resource in Management Prize

has been awarded at the discretion of the Examination Board to the student from the MLitt Human Resource Management (PGT) programme who achieved the highest weighted average of all modules including the dissertation. It was last awarded in 2022-2023.

Awards

The School of Management Postgraduate Taught Achievement Award

is awarded at the discretion of the Examination Board to a PGT student who has achieved a Distinction in coursework and/or the dissertation in the context of overcoming adversity.

Scholarships

The Julian and Ludmila Crowther Scholarship

The Julian and Ludmila Crowther Scholarship is open to second year School of Management students to apply for third and fourth year funding. The award will pay a £1,000 scholarship in each of the third year and fourth year of study. To be eligible for this funding you must:

  • be studying Single or Joint Honours Management and demonstrate the grades required for a First Class Honours or a Second Class Division 1
  • be able to demonstrate financial need.

Priority will be given to students resident in the United Kingdom and ideally school educated in the United Kingdom, and applications are particularly welcomed from those who have represented the University in sport or are actively involved in the sporting community in St Andrews.

As this award will be based on financial need we would advise you to have completed the Financial Profile before starting the application.

You will also be asked to upload the following:

  • Financial Statement: A short summary of how this award will assist your learning as well as how you are in financial need.
  • Personal Statement: You may wish to include here any other details which you think would aid your application.
