Biography

I am a Senior Lecturer in Finance and the Co-organiser of the Financial Institutions and Markets (FIM) group at the School of Management. I am also an External Examiner at the University of East Anglia and Durham University. I read for my doctorate at the University of Essex under a scholarship from the Essex Business School.  Prior to my doctoral studies, I obtained an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Essex and a BSc in Economics from the University of Patras.

My current research interests lie in the areas of financial intermediation, empirical corporate finance, and stock return predictability. I have recently published academic articles in high-profile peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Empirical Finance, the Journal of Time Series Analysis, and the Journal of Financial Services Research. I am also an Associate Editor of the European Journal of Finance (since 2016) and a regular member of the American Finance Association, the European Finance Association, and the Financial Management Association.
