Europaeum Scholar's Prize winner
School of Management research student Stephanie Haywood, with her project team, has won the Europaeum Scholar's Prize 2019. The prize is sponsored by the Financial Times. The team (shown below) is a multi-disciplinary group of young researchers from across Europe who met as part of the Europaeum Scholars Programme, a two-year training programme for doctoral students interested in contemporary European policy.
The winning project was 'You & EU', a campaign to encourage young people to vote in the 2019 European Parliament elections. The team designed, organised and ran the campaign. They created and published content across social media platforms, a website and a video series. Over five months the campaign reached nearly half a million people. Steph reports: "We will be using the €10,000 prize to organise a Campaigner's Summit for other similar campaigns, in order to share insights and develop a network for the future."
Congratulations to Steph and the team!
