Public policy and entrepreneurial recycling

4 June 2024

In May 2024, Professor Ross Brown was invited keynote speaker at an event titled 'Start-up exits: modalities, impacts and policies'. The occasion was organised by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities (CFE) in conjunction with the International Council of Small Business (ICSB).

The event focused on how public policy can be deployed to help enrich and enable growth in local economies by cultivating entrepreneurial ecosystems. Professor Brown's talk examined the specific issue of entrepreneurial recycling and how this can inject and re-energise resources within entrepreneurial ecosystems.

Professor Brown is a leading authority on entrepreneurial ecosystems and co-author of the OECD's original study on this topic, Entrepreneurial ecosystems and growth oriented entrepreneurship.
