Management student FastStart Innovators winner
Richard Lochmüller, a first year student with the School of Management, has been awarded £350 in the FastStart Innovators pitching competition.
FastStart Innovators, one of five entrepreneurship training programmes at the Entrepreneurship Centre, provides participants with practical training for for-profit businesses. The end of the programme requires a business pitch to a panel of judges with a financial ask of up to £1,000. The judging panel included Derek Watson, Quaestor and Factor of the University of St Andrews, and Andy Goor, Chief Financial Officer at the University, alongside external panel member Katy Air, Head of Marketing at MRM Global.
Richard was one of three winners and was selected for his travel business idea which aims to revolutionise the organisation of travel management. The grant funding is to help him take his entrepreneurial plan forward.
