Management Undergraduate of the Year 2022
Second year Management student Yasmin Coffey is the winner of targetjobs Management Undergraduate of the Year 2022 with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Congratulations to Yasmin!
The award was announced at the Grand Final ceremony at East Wintergarden in Canary Wharf, hosted by Sue Perkins. Yasmin received a trophy and the opportunity of a summer internship including a week at one of Enterprise Rent-A-Car's international operations. She reports:
"I was incredibly surprised and excited to win the award! From the first interviews to the assessment centre, the process provided invaluable experience for my future career. The final event was an amazing celebration for everyone in the top 10. I was honoured to be able to meet such talented students and network with industry professionals. I was nervous about entering the competition, but it was the best thing I could have done. You never know where you'll end up!"
Deputy Head of School and Director of Teaching Dr Shiona Chillas said:
"The School of Management is proud of all our undergraduates. We send special congratulations to Yasmin Coffey on the occasion of her achievement in winning Management Undergraduate of the Year.
Yasmin was selected from a pool of nearly 4000 and she excelled at every stage of the rigorous process. I am sure she will be an ambassador for the School and University during her internship with Enterprise. We are delighted for Yasmin and hope that her success inspires all our students."
Yasmin follows in the footsteps of earlier Management students who were successful in the competition: Georgina Ashby, BSc (Hons) Management, reached the finals in 2016 and won a placement with Rolls Royce and in 2018 Holly Hetherington, MA (Hons) Management, won, like Yasmin, the Management Undergraduate of the Year.
