REF 2014 logo‌The School of Management University of St Andrews delivered an excellent performance in the 2014 REF. The School was placed 13th in the UK (out of 101 submissions) and second in Scotland (within a whisker of the much larger business school at Strathclyde). A particular highlight for the School was our performance on 'research impact'. See more on the School of Management in REF2014.

The School was among the first of more than 100 management schools, business schools and universities from around the world to endorse the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME). Backed by the United Nations, the PRME initiative aims to inspire and champion responsible management education, research and thought leadership globally. The School's Sharing Information on Progress (SIP) reports can be found on our PRME profile page. The Press Release announcing the 2007 launch of PRME is at School Endorses PRME.

The School seeks to equip our graduates with the skills and information they will need to meet the challenges of the business world, wherever they live and work. But this is not a passive process. The aim is to stimulate our students' intellectual curiosity, to encourage them to interrogate evidence, challenge logic and question existing ways of doing things.

Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS) logo‌The School is a member of the Chartered Association of Business Schools. We endeavour to maintain a working environment as vibrant, enterprising, exciting and rewarding as that of the most dynamic modern business contexts. Cultures meet and mix and ideas are exchanged in our beautiful new building, which boasts state of the art lecture, seminar and study facilities.
