Workshop 1 - Academic Writing in Essay Structures

Intended Learning Outcomes: 

This workshop will focus on the distinct key parts of a journal article and required essay structure in Psychology and Neuroscience.

Workshop 2 - How to run a t-test in SPSS and JASP

Date: TBC - Week 5
Time: TBC
Audience: All sub-honours students

Intended Learning outcomes: 

This workshop will provide a refresher of the theory underlying one of the most used fundamental tests in psychological research, the Student’s t-test, and show students how this statistical theory could be used to understand psychological phenomena on software such as SPSS and JASP.

Workshop 3 - Literature Review and Analysis

Intended Learning Outcomes: 

This workshop will focus on helping students develop a reproducible strategy to find and select relevant, innovative, and sound literature on which to base their arguments and develop their own ideas and work.

Workshop 4 - Academic Writing in Lab Reports

Audience: First and second year undergraduates

Intended Learning Outcomes: 

This workshop will focus on the distinct key parts of the lab report writing, by following the requirements and criteria in the School of Psychology and Neuroscience.

Workshop 5 - How to run ANOVAs in SPSS and JASP

Workshop 6 - Experimental and Survey tools

Intended learning outcomes: 

This workshop will provide students with an overview of how to use experimental and survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics and Gorrila) to conduct an online study.
