To greater grasp the tools needed to analyse and discuss film texts.
Workshop 2: Engaging with Academic Sources

Audience: All sub-honours students (primarily first years)
Intended Learning outcomes:
To be able to use sources in an effective and appropriate manner, as well as understanding ways of finding relevant ones.
Workshop 3: Writing an Effective Essay
Date: 05/11/2025
Audience: Sub-honours students undertaking FM1001
Intended Learning Outcomes:
To feel confident in tackling the first essay for FM1001, and how to go about preparing for it.
Workshop 4: Essay Drop-In Session
Date: 12/11/2025
Audience: Sub-honours students undertaking FM1001
Intended Learning Outcomes:
To clear up any uncertainties students may have about the FM1001 essay.
