St Leonard's Associateship
St Leonard's Associateship is an honorary status conferred on eligible doctoral students. It is intended to recognise the holder's achievement in completing a doctoral degree and to facilitate their continued association with the University as they take their first steps into a post-doctoral career.
Associates benefit from continued access to specified University services and facilities including a University email address and access to specified University Library facilities and resources.
Associateship does not constitute a contract of employment or matriculation as a student, nor does it carry any specific rights or privileges. Students must not represent associateship as the holding of an academic appointment within the University. Associates will not receive renumeration for associateship.
The associateship term is twelve months. Eligible students who wish to apply should do so following their viva voce examination once they have received confirmation from their examiners that they will be recommended for the award of a doctoral degree.
Associateship is subject to the endorsement of the relevant Director of Postgraduate Research and the approval of the Provost.
