Rising Carbon, Melting Ice: Exploring the Impacts of Climate Change in the World’s Cold Places
We are delighted to announce that the School of Geography and Sustainable Development Autumn Public Lecture will be delivered by our own Professor Doug Benn. Doug is one of the world’s most eminent glaciologists and he has undertaken research on glaciers and ice sheets for 40 years, and in locations from the Arctic and Antarctic to the Himalaya.
He will be giving a public talk on Tuesday 4 November 2025, from 5.15 to 7pm, in the Parliament Hall, followed by a reception. The talk is free to attend and open to all, but booking in advance is mandatory on the event link for fire safety and catering purposes.
