Professor Iordanova featured at the One Women's International Film Festival in Chengdu, China

In September, Professor Iordanova travelled to Sichuan on invitation from the One Women's International Film Festival in Chengdu.

Here she convened the festival’s key event, which brought together women’s film festival organisers from a variety of countries, for a discussion exploring the past and future of this type of festival.

Participants in the panel included Diego Mas Trelles of Cine por Mujeres in Madrid, Spain, Pecha Lo of Women Make Waves in Taipei, Taiwan, Marie Vermeersh of Elles Tournent in Brussels, Belgium, and the festival’s Beijing-based programmer Sydney Lee.

Professor Iordanova had seven interviews, one for television and seven for different film news outlets such as Deep Focus and Tencent, which featured her commentary on the recent pledge of large festivals to include more work by women directors.
