New issue of Frames Cinema Journal
Frames Cinema Journal has launched its 22nd issue, on the theme of '(Re)Locations: Transformations of Place in Film'. The editorial team for the issue was comprised of three postgraduate researchers in the Department: Yuanxin Chu, Rachel Ng and Camila Contreras-Langlois. As they note in their editorial introduction, the issue 'explores the dynamic interplay between film and the nuanced, yet intertwined concepts of location, place, and space'. This focus leads to a wide range of interdisciplinary and cutting-edge research, looking at filmmaking from across the world (including Germany, South Korea, Iran, Wales, Scotland and Mexico), and a variety of different research materials and methods, from archival footage, to Google-mapping, creative-practice and intermediality.
Frames Cinema Journal is a peer-reviewed journal which publishes full length articles, audiovisual essays and book reviews, alongside innovative formats, like the short-form POV featurette - see the journal's website for more details on submissions and formats.
