PhD curation for Collaborative Cataloging Japan
This April Hal Young, PhD candidate in the Department, has curated a programme of works by the Kansai-based collective Voyant Cinémathèque for Collaborative Cataloging Japan. Active from 1983-1996, Voyant Cinémathèque not only produced a prolific body of experimental work but were active in organising events and screenings in the region. The two works in the program are Katsumi Aoi's Tokyo Honeymoon (1985) and Yukina Nishioka's Bristlecornpine (1991), which will be available for viewing on CCJ's viewing platform and are accompanied by an Introduction written by Hal.
