New member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters
Congratulations to Robert Crawford, Professor of Modern Scottish Literature and Bishop Wardlaw Professor of Poetry in the School of English, who was inducted as a Foreign Member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters at a ceremony in May as part of the Norwegian Academy's annual dinner held in the Grand Hotel in central Oslo.
"Norwegian was the first foreign language into which any of my work was translated", says Professor Crawford, "and I'm delighted to have kept up various connections with Norway over several decades. It’s an honour to belong to the Norwegian Academy."
