Virigina Woolf in Tehran

23 April 2019

Congratulations to Professor Susan Sellers, as her novel ‘Vanessa and Virginia’ has been translated into Farsi by Zahra Amini.

Vanessa and Virginia, which is a fictional portrait of the writer Virginia Woolf and her sister, the painter Vanessa Bell, is being launched at the 32nd Tehran International Book Fair (happening 24th April to May 4th 2019).

The book, first published in 2008, has already been translated into more than a dozen languages, including Chinese and Japanese.

The new Iranian translation is published by Roshangaran, a feminist press founded in the 1980s as a response to the discrimination and restrictions imposed upon women by the Islamic Revolution.
