Karen Solie wins Forward Prize for Poetry

School of English Creative Writing lecturer Karen Solie has been named joint winner of this year's Forward prize for best collection, one of the UK's most prestigious poetry awards. Karen shares the award alongside Vidyan Ravinthiran. It's the first time in the prize's history the honour has been shared.

Solie's publication - Wellwater - was recognised as a "self-interrogative conversation with a culture in crisis and a natural world on the brink". The winners were announced at a ceremony at London's Southbank Centre on Sunday evening.
