Research

The School of Economics and Finance is a dynamic research-led School that aims to undertake research of the highest quality with strengths in:

  • choice theory

  • expectations and learning
  • competition and innovation
  • climate change.

The School supports the Centre for Dynamic Macroeconomic Analysis (CDMA) and is actively involved in the Scottish Institute for Research in Economics (SIRE).

The quality of research publications produced by staff within the School was ranked in the top ten in the UK by the recent Research Excellence Framework 2014, with more than 80% of the research output rated as internationally excellent or world-leading.
