Patrick Barth awarded Outstanding Student and PhD Candidate Award in the Division on Planetary and Solar System Science

In May, Patrick Barth (2019-2023) used his SEES Travel bursary support to attended the EGU General Assembly in Vienna. In his talk ‘Nitrogen fixation by lightning and its role for early life on Earth and exoplanets’, Patrick presented recent results of spark experiments, investigating the role of lightning in the production of nutrients for the earliest forms of life on Earth. His presentation was awarded the Outstanding Student and PhD Candidate Award in the Division on Planetary and Solar System Science.
