**Libby Summers Brand Story** Libby Summers’ hand-knitted textiles reflect her love for the colors of English and Scottish landscapes and the value she places on natural quality fibres. She was encouraged to set up her business when she befriended other women who were finding outlets for their creativity.

At the outset, Libby’s vision was to be a manufacturer as well as a designer and she realised her ambition when her unique hand knitted hot water bottles went on sale in John Lewis in 2010. Her designs have had high profile attention, including featuring as The Financial Times Number One Valentine’s gift in 2012 and 'Living Etc' Best Buy. Her work has featured in Selina Lake's interiors books and in prominent lifestyle magazines such as Country Homes and Interiors, Period Homes and Interiors and Prima Magazine. Her yarns and patterns appeared regularly in UK knitting magazines including Knitting Magazine, Let's Knit and Knit Today.

Libby is no longer active as a knitwear designer having sold her business in 2014 to retrain as a violin maker.
